Meaningful artwork that brings beauty and joy into your world. And just as no two people are exactly alike, I place the utmost importance on creating pieces that are truly one of a kind. Instead- just like each of us- every piece holds it’s own subtle differences and unique beauty.Currently, I am working on a series studying the cross sections of fruits and vegetables. I am incredibly fortunate for that experience, not only because it allowed me to recognize and nurture my passion for art at a very young age, but also because the creative environment stressed discipline and self discovery- two characteristics that have proven invaluable. (Because of my experience, I am also a firm believer in the importance of fine art programs in our schools.) When I went away to college, I decided to study scientific illustration in order to combine both my passion for painting and my love of nature and science. (Confession, I’m a total science nerd. I even met my husband in a dissection lab! Romantic, right?) Today, I continue to intertwine those loves in both my professional and personal works. A SPECIAL MESSAGE From Mike Evans the founder of the Jerusalem Prayer Team Dear Ronnie, Tonight the Jewish Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost) begins. This is a special day for Believers as we celebrate the day when the Holy Spirit came in power on the disciples as they prayed together in Jerusalem. You and I today are part of a wonderful worldwide prayer movement--not a small group meeting in a secret room, but a band of praying Believers around the globe. God has called you and me to a great mission--to show true Christian love to the Jewish people and to the world. And He has opened wonderful doors of opportunity for us to do that...but we can't do it without your help. I am asking you to send a special Pentecost Offering today to make sure that this great global prayer campaign can continue to do everything possible to bless and defend God's Chosen People. We have been given additional time on the deadline for the current payment on the Friends of Zion Heritage Center. Many friends have given generously and I give thanks to God for each one who has shown their love in action in this important way, but we must raise $250,000 by the extended deadline. So far 1,505 friends have given $168,280. That means we still need $81,720.The nation of Israel urgently needs to see this expression of Christian love right now with looming threats on every side. Your help today will make this miracle outreach a reality this year. We are so close...and we must not fail to reach this goal and begin this wonderful witness from Jerusalem to the entire world.DONATE NOW: https://secure.etransfer.com/JPT/CertificatePlaquePrem.cfm?dn=1032&commID=592357952&ID=981062 For your gift of $100 or more we will send you a Certificate of Appreciation with a presentation folder for you. This recognition will show everyone who sees it that you are a committed friend of Israel and the Jewish People. With your gift of $250 or more, you will receive a specially made Friends of Zion Visionary plaque. Commemorate your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team and the building of the first Christian museum in Israel with this handsome plaque. Mounted on a wooden frame, this scroll-shaped cast-metal plaque with bronze finish includes the scripture, "Blessed is he who comes in the name of t

Welcome to the website of Janie Crouch - author for Harlequin Intrigue.  Her first novel, Primal Instinct,  released in April 2014. The journey down the road to publication has been an exciting one. You can read more about it by

clicking on the "Road to Publication" section above.

Janie Crouch

Her
fiction/fantasy geek roots go pretty far back: her doctoral
dissertation focused on how people formed and maintained relationships
with sci-fi/fantasy characters. In her academic writing she was often
told she needed to "dial down the drama".  She's glad to finally be
writing something where no tells her that anymore. For her "day job" she
teaches Public Speaking and Communication at a community college in
Virginia.

Her hubby and four young children definitely keep her
busy. But a few years ago, as all her kids went off to school for the
first time, Janie found herself with some wondrous... stuff... she had
never known before:

Free time.

She decided to write a novel. She participated in National Novel Writing Month in November 2011 and produced her first novel Unbreak My Heart (unpublished manuscript) and then went on to write Primal Instinct which was bought by Harlequin Intrigue in June 2013.

Janie
loves action and adventure (in films, in books, in her life) and
including them in her writing is a natural fit. She is delighted to find
a writing home with Harlequin Intrigue.

Her current projects include: a 4-book series with Harlequin Intrigue that will center around Omega Sector
-- an elite government task force -- and the Branson siblings (Cameron,
Sawyer, Juliet and Dylan) who work there. These books are scheduled to
release in January, February, May and June of 2015. She also has two
follow-ups to Primal Instinct planned.

Janie is a member of Romance Writers of America, Virginia Romance Writers, and KOD (Kiss of Death - the Romantic Suspense Writers Group).

When
she's not listening to the voices in her head (and even when she is),
she enjoys traveling, long-distance running, movie-watching, knitting
and obstacle course adventure racing.

Most of all, she loves to laugh and smile. And she's tremendously thankful she has so much to laugh and smile about.

Janie at a Tough Mudder race

Janie
has written all her life, but mostly academic pieces. She holds a B.A.
in English Communication from Montreat College in Montreat, NC (near
Asheville). She completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in Communication Studies
from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.

RIDDLE OF STEEL: Secrets of the Viking Sword (720p)

Institute for Creation Research,

Time, Space, and Matter

There is an immeasurably and unimaginably huge universe out there (even though the most important part of it appears to be here). The physical universe is "temporal"—its physical characteristics are defined qualitatively and quantitatively in and by time, space, and mass/energy (usually abbreviated as just "matter").
Any effort to determine the cause of the universe is purely hypothetical. No human was there to observe the processes, so any attempt to understand events of pre-history (especially original events) must, therefore, be based on "belief systems," or presuppositions. While the theories and ideas may be many, the presuppositions can only be of two sorts: 1) there is an infinite series of causes, going back into infinite time, with no ultimate Cause; or 2) there exists an uncaused First Cause that was "outside" or transcendent to the universe.
Many scientists today conduct their research based on their presupposition or belief that nothing exists beyond the natural world—that which can be seen around us—and thus they do not accept that any ultimate Cause exists.
Scientists at ICR hold to the presupposition that the "uncaused First Cause" is the Creator who exists outside of the physical creation He made. Time is not eternal, but created. To ask what happened in time before time was created is to create a false paradox without meaning. There was no "before" prior to the creation of the triune universe of time, space, and mass/energy.
Yet even more amazing (and the universe is amazing) is the historic fact that the Creator-God, after purposefully creating the time-space-matter universe, chose to enter it in the God-human person of Jesus Christ—for the sole purpose of providing a means by which humanity could have a personal relationship with the Creator.
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
